Our objective is to provide you with an easy online service to help answer your questions. We know how important it is to make the best possible decisions when it comes to the health and wellbeing of your pets - after all we are pet parents too!

HOW DOES AN ONLINE CONSULTATION WORK ?

Have you taken your pet to the vet and have been told what is wrong, but the condition and treatments weren't explained clearly? How serious is the condition. What can you do to help your cat or dog? What treatment options do you have? Consultations provided by Dr. Cook will be detailed and informative, including follow-up correspondence when needed. Dr. Cook has been practicing integrative veterinary medicine for over 15 years and has seen many pets throughout the years. Our online Veterinary Consultation is not intended to replace a traditional appointment with a veterinarian and a complete physical exam. This service is only meant to be informative and supplemental.

WHAT THE ONLINE CONSULTATION INCLUDES?

Once Dr. Cook or Dr. Nascimento receives all the information you provide, they will review everything and respond within 2 to 3 business days. You will also be able to ask follow-up questions to ensure you completely understand the doctor's recommendation. Consultations include second opinions, general questions about holistic and integrative medicine, herbal and natural supplements, dietary health, holistic and natural approaches to treatment for disease. Is this an a veterinarian appointment? Do I schedule out a specific time?

The NHV veterinarian consultation is currently not a scheduled appointment. You send your pet's blood work and test results and our veterinarians will email you back a holistic regimen and any advice for your pet.

What happens if I still need more answers?

Dr. Amanda and Dr. Cook is available to answer any questions you may have once she has sent her first assessment. We ask that you limit these responses to 3.

Who is Dr. Cook?

Dr. Hillary Cook's area of interest is holistic and integrative veterinary medicine. She she holds a certificate in veterinary acupuncture and is qualified in Western and Chinese herbalism. She is the owner of an integrative veterinary clinic in Virginia.

Will Dr. Cook prescribe medications?

No, our vets are not able to prescribe medications. In order for a medication to be prescribed to your pet, your vet needs to do an examination in person.
