Old Timer
- Alfalfa is a highly nutritious herb with high levels of protein, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids which play important roles in maintaining the strength and growth of bones as well as other vital body processes.

To be taken twice daily. All NHV supplements are designed to be used together, and can, therefore, be given at once for convenience.

How to Administer
Shake well before use. The easiest method is to use the dropper provided and place the drops into your pet’s food or favorite treat. You can also use the dropper and squirt directly into the pet’s mouth. Some pets can be finicky, if this occurs consider hiding the drops in foods most pet’s love such as fish, chicken or yogurt or a favorite treat. If your pet only eats dry food then soak a few kibbles at feeding time.

FAQ
Is it safe to give NHV supplements to my cat/dog that is scheduled for an operation to address the hip dysplasia?
If your pet is scheduled for a surgical procedure, they should stop all supplements two weeks prior to the procedure and may resume taking them two weeks after the surgery.
Can I give the NHV Hip Dysplasia Kit with vet medications and other joint supplements?
Our supplements are safe to administer alongside other vet-prescribed medications and other joint supplements. For best results, leave a 2 hour window between NHV supplements and all other medications and supplements. If you are unsure, consult your vet about combining supplements in your pet’s care plan.
Why does hip dysplasia have to be addressed surgically?
Depending on the severity of the condition, surgery may help prevent further damage to the hip joint. If there is adequate cartilage in the surrounding area, realignment surgery may be beneficial for correcting the issue and improving mobility.
How will I know that my cat/dog may be more prone to hip dysplasia?
Any cat or dog can be born with hip dysplasia but for certain purebred cats and dogs, it is more common. It is a known issue in many large or giant breed dogs like the Irish Wolfhound or Beauceron. In cats, it is often seen in Main Coons, Persians and Himalayans.
Why does hip dysplasia affect both young and old cats/dogs?
Hip Dysplasia is typically a genetic condition so it can affect animals from the moment they are born and progress as they age.
Hip Dysplasia is a progressive condition meaning that it is likely to worsen over time. So later in life, hip dysplasia can damage the soft cartilage that surrounds the socket of hip joint. Hip dysplasia can also make the joint more susceptible to developing osteoarthritis.
