Siamese

Siamese are one of the oldest breeds of domestic cats in the world- dating back to their origins from Thailand in the late 1800’s. They are extremely intelligent, affectionate, talkative and opinionated cats. They are extremely fond of people and have a highly loving nature. Siamese typically have a light coat with a dark facial mask. Their head is wedge-shaped, with long legs, tail, neck, and almond shaped blue eyes.
Common Health Conditions
- In Siamese cats, there is significant amyloid deposition in the liver, which leads to decreased function, and fatal liver failure can occur.
- Your Siamese can present common respiratory problems such asthma and upper respiratory infections and feline viral rhinotracheitis (FVR).
- Other health issues in Siamese are heart disease (subaortic stenosis), which occurs when the flow of blood from the heart's pumping chamber or left ventricle is restricted.
