Addison's Disease in Dogs

Addison's disease (hypoadrenocorticism) in dogs occurs when the adrenal glands are unable to produce the hormones needed for normal functioning. It is most likely to occur in young to middle-aged female dogs. While the exact cause of Addison's disease isn't known, it is thought to be an autoimmune condition in which the body destroys some of its own tissue. The adrenal gland can also be destroyed by other conditions including cancer. The signs of Addison's disease may be severe and appear suddenly, or may occur intermittently and vary in severity.

If your dog has Addison's disease it is important to help boost depleted adrenal gland hormones, while supporting the liver and kidneys. Dogs with Addison's can look ragged as their overall body and coat are affected. These vet-formulated supplements will help address this condition and improve yours pet's wellbeing.
