The California Spangled is a large size domestic cat breed that originated from United States. It is also known as Spangle. The curious and loyal cat breed typically weighs 12 - 15 pounds for males, 10 - 13 pounds for females. They have short and spotted coat which will have minimal shedding and only need moderate grooming.
Common Health Conditions
- Dilated Cardiomyopathy is a heart disease in cats where the organ fails to contract properly, has enlarged heart chambers. This results in congestive heart failure due to the inability to properly pump blood.
- Bladder stones can occur in any breed and prevent the ability to regularly or normally urinate as the urethra becomes blocked by these stones. The sizes of these stones can range from large to small bits or a mixture of both.
- Allergies can be common in lighter colored breeds, specifically skin allergies.
