The Chantilly-Tiffany is a medium size domestic cat breed that originated from North America. It is also known as Chantilly or Foreign Longhair. They have a semi-long, soft, and silky coat and angled eyes. They are affectionate, and have a gentle temperament. The Tiffany is happy lounging in the lap of a loved one, or participating in moderate activity. They tend to bond well with humans, and will speak to you in a sweet and chirping voice.

Common Health Conditions

  • Hairballs can often occur with excessive grooming and licking. While these typically pass through the cats system, sometimes the hairballs can become lodged within the cats stomach or cause intestinal blockage
  • Ear infections can occur in any cat and are often a result of a separate underlying condition, such as ear mites, trauma to the ear, abnormal growths or allergies.
  • When the thyroid gland, located in the neck, begins to overproduce the thyroid hormone this is called Hyperthyroidism in cats. Typically affecting cats 7 years or older, the overproduction increases the cat’s metabolism creating long term negative effects on the heart, kidneys and other organs.
