Scurvy

Guinea pigs are one of very few creatures who don't synthesize their own vitamin C. If not provided with sufficient vitamin C in the form of fresh fruits and veggies, a deficiency in this vital vitamin can lead to Scurvy. If caught before it is advanced, Scurvy can be easily remedied by providing adequate vitamin C.
