The active compound in turmeric is curcumin. Studies have shown turmeric to be an excellent anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antifungal, antibacterial, anticoagulant, antiseptic, astringent, helps with liver function, bile production and externally for wound healing.

Turmeric is beneficial for arthritic conditions in cats due to the anti-inflammatory properties and is COX2 inhibitors.

You can use turmeric for your cat as anticancer support   due to its antioxidant properties.

Use of turmeric extracts in a pets daily diet may help scavenge free radicals, increase antioxidant enzymes, and inhibit lipid peroxidation.

Epidemiological studies have linked the frequent use of turmeric to lower rates of mammary, lung and colon and liver cancers; laboratory experiments have shown curcumin can prevent tumors from forming.

The healing properties of curcumin may also be beneficial for cat with autoimmune diseases, liver disorders  ( increases detoxification of the liver) and heart and circulatory support.  Turmeric helps lower the bad cholesterol (LDL), which cat can have and also helps reduce the risk of blood clotting.

This product and company are AWFUL. Our cat DIED 21 days after starting this product. If you read their "Guarantee" page, it states you can return the product if not satisfied within 60 days. WELL - THEY REFUSED! Because the cat DIED before it could try the product for 30 days, they are not honoring their guarantee! No where on their page does it state this. We also are NOT SURE if the product accelerated the cat's ILLNESS! They also will CHARGE you $9.99, 15% restocking fee PLUS YOU HAVE TO PAY TO SEND IT BACK! BEWARE! This site is ALL About the MONEY NOT THE PEOPLE OR PETS!!!! *

As a naturopathic doctor (for people not animals) i know how important turmeric is as a natural anti-inflammatory and liver support. My kitty Ziggy made it to just 2 months shy of 18 years and this product really helped his quality of life. I tried giving him other herbal products but he refused to take them, so i feel the glycerin and liver flavoring really help with compliance! *

I give both of my cats this daily as a preventive, they both love it. I just mix it in their food and there has never been a problem. I originally started this for my cat with Asthma and decided to give it to my other cat as a preventive. Since cats tend to have so many inflammation issues as they get older it seems I thought this would be a nice daily supplement for them. *

Very good product, I got the turmeric for my cat, who is 16 year old, to help and support for her liver and gallbladder condition. She has gallstones and compromised liver. This supplement helped to bring her inflammation down and helped with pain. I would recommend this product to all pets. *

I've been using NHV turmeric for my cat Micah since July. He was diagnosed with Lymphoma in his nose with 4-6 weeks to live without treatment. Micah is still with us today and very active. We also use another medicine in combination with NHV. Between the two medicines you wouldn't be able to tell that he ever had/has cancer. *

We have been using Trispy and Matricalm for one of our cats who has kidney and anxiety problems. She seems to be doing very well on these products. We previously had her on [another natural supplement] but we think it was upsetting her stomach. That’s not the case with NHV. Our cat also takes the supplement very easily. She’s not repulsed by it like other medicines so it must not taste bad to her. The support at NHV is also strong. The people are great! Very responsive and caring. We are ordering Yucca for another one of our cats because we are so pleased with these two products. *

I love these products. The difference in my pet is remarkable. He is an older cat and according to our vet has heart and kidney issues and I suspect cancer. I have had him on the tumeric, heart essentials, milk thistle, tripsy, es clear, felimm, & multi essentials. His skin lesions cleared up. He gained some much needed weight & he stopped throwing up every morning. Now, Max runs around playing like a young kitten at times. I truly appreciate NHV Pet Products, & they have been a big help answering my questions. If your like me, when it comes to your babies, you want the best care and quality supplements you can get for them..NHV pet Products are the best pet supplements I have found. *

My beautiful boy Rufus,( 18 years) was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure in March of this year, and a subsequent operation for tooth removal no doubt put extra strain on his renal system, but in March I started to dose him with your Tripsy, Milk Thistle and Turmeric, and he seems to be holding his own. I was initially told he may be with us for 6-12 months, but his eyes are bright, fur shiny and he seems well, appetite is good (considering his advanced age). I truly do think it is all down to NHV and the products here. Best of all it has given me hope that I"ll have him longer and as healthy as possible.I'll continue to purchase, and give him the best quality of life I can. *

Our beautiful cat Bell was diagnosed with a mass in her small intestine. Her blood work panel was normal in all aspects. Her only symptom was that she had lost significant amount of weight from 8 lbs to 5.3 lbs between May 2017 and Nov 2017. During that time she she ate normal amount of food ( Wellness dry maintence food about 1 cup and 1/8 can of their wet food . Her behavior stayed the same and poops and pees the same. So after several trips to the vet and ultrasound we were told it was a mass and that they believed it was either a lymphoma mass or a carcinoma mass. Outlook was not good. On the bright side she was able to eat, keep her food down and poop. Of course we were devastated with the news. Another beloved pet sick with what they believe is cancer.( death sentence) My friend Sandi ‘s cat had recently passed at a very young age of some form of aggressive cancer.. she is the one who gave me her remedies from Nhv she was unable to save her fur baby . Sandi believed that her cat had been diagnosed to late and the cancer to aggressive for the remedies to work. However she had researched NHV And believed that the remedies would work had she had the luxury of time. Sandi upon hearing about Bell offered to give me the her remedies in hopes of helping my cat Bell. I checked out the website chatted with NHV staff on line asking additional questions based on my cats condition as to what products they felt would be most beneficial. They were very helpful in their recommendations. My cat is maintaining her weight between 5/34-6lbs as it appears she is not losing more weight as of January 25 2018. Bell was only slightly above 5 lbs when originally seen at vet back in November 2017. I began by removing all dry food from my cats diet : feeding only the following : 2x per day approx total 1/2 can as my cat was never a big eater. Beef and chicken liver ground into a pate Distilled water, fine ground kelp. Omega 3 salmon oil, nu-feline grass powder, cbd oil 6 drops. Nhv products 10 drops of turmeric 10 drops es-clear 10-drops bk-detox 12-drops Felimm 12-drops milk thistle 12-drops nature’s immune for cats *note with all Nhv products I followed the recommended amt of drops per pound for 2 months . I gradually increased the dosages up to what is shown above . ( based on no ill signs) Actual weight of my cat is 5 3/4 to 6 lbs. Also l make the liver pate separately and add all other ingredients to each serving. ( to keep it fresh). I am very pleased with the combination of remedies and we will be going back to the vet in May for another ultrasound to see if there were any changes in her blood work, see if tumor is the same size/or changed ( hopefully smaller) . We are staying optimistic and Bell has shown no sign of pain or discomfort during this entire time and is acting her normal self. *

My daughter's cat Jakie was diagnosed with cancer. He had liver problems before this and we were giving him turmeric and milk thistle. Now that he has cancer we have been adding the cancer regime. So far he is doing good, his coat is shiny and his runny eye looks better. I love this stuff.. I know it has been helping him! *

I've been using Turmeric for about 3 weeks now, for my two year old cat that was recently diagnosed with hip dysplasia and has arthritis because of this. I really don't know if it's working because she's taking two painkillers and also started several weeks ago with glucosamine and chondroitin. She's also having acupuncture sessions. I was told by one of the kind experts from NHV that I should give her Old Timer and Yucca for her hip and pain, but I haven't ordered them yet. I find the products to be a bit pricey, but I guess, I haven't really seen their efficacy and they're maybe worth the price. I'd would like to be able to eventually stop the painkillers and manage the pain and inflammation with nutraceuticals and acupuncture. I guess only time will tell and if it does I might change my review. *

My 18 year old black cat was diagnosed with a small mass in his stomach, swollen lymph nodes -- lymphoma in November 2016. I decided against chemotherapy, instead started him on a high dosage of [**pharmaceutical name removed]. He showed improvement, but developed steroid induced diabetes, requiring insulin shots. I started my cat on ES Clear, Tumeric, Milk Thistle, and Tripsy on December 24. I am happy to report that my cat is doing very well. his [**pharmaceutical name removed] dosage was reduced, but he has maintained his appetite and even gained back to his normal weight. The veterinarian even says that it looks like his cancer may be in remission! Thank you so much! I can finally stop crying. *

My cat Mr. Raoul, is 19 years old. Vet diagnosed him with hyperthyroidism, and gave some meds that he would throw-up. He was very thin with no appetite. Started giving him a full dropper of your supplements every morning. He is now eating and seems to be responding. I realize that at his age he doesn't have a lot of time left on earth. However, I want him to be comfortable till the end. This product seems to be helping. *

My 14 year old cat has mammary tumor. I started her on this along with the multi essentialso and tumeric 3 to 4 weeks before surgery. I held off on tumor removal for the $1000.00 cost. By the time she has the surgery, the tumor had ulcerated. At her recheck she had gained weight and the vet couldn't feel any regrowth. I had changed vets. She continues to increase this good health, and I'm happy I found these products.... *

Ajia was diagnosed in May with Small Cell Lymphoma, quite distressful, her kidneys showed weakening and vets were concerned about her liver. She also was vomiting profusely and losing weight (5.5?lbs). She was also Hyperthyroid. The pet hospital prescribed [**pharmaceutical name removed] (a chemo drug) for the lymphoma, of which we were very leary, given the side effects. They also prescribed [**pharmaceutical name removed] for the vomiting, a steroid. I immediately started my own research and discovered NHV herbal supplements and the benefits and support they could deliver for her condition. I ordered the Cancer Fighter Pack (of which she is taking full therapeutic dosages) along with Resthyro (1/2 therapeutic dosages). After a 2nd vet opinion, we agreed to try the [**pharmaceutical name removed], though, after about one week Ajia refused to take it! She is taking [**pharmaceutical name removed] but her vomiting issues are much more manageable now, so she will be off this very soon. She has been on [**pharmaceutical name removed] for her thyroid since April. But she Truly loves her NHV Herbal Supplements! Ajia recently had a blood panel taken. After less than 8 weeks on the NHV products, along with Reishi mushroom, probiotics and a high protein, mainly raw diet, Ajia had Amazing results: her kidney and liver #'s both in the healthy range and her thyroid level was reduced by 60%! She just has a bit more to go to get that # down, then we will slowly wean her off the thyroid med while increasing the Resthyro. All Great News! Thank you NHV for supporting the health of our cat Ajia! *

Hare Krsna! Hi every one. Our daugther ( i won't say cat) is been diognised with lymphoma (B cell type), almost two years ago. Now she is healthier than ever. I am strictly following different natural protocols, advised by our vet here in Turin italy, (Dott. Carlo Giulianelli - Medico Veterinario) and one of the regimen that we are strictly following is giving her Es-clear/ Milk Thistle/ Turmeric / Omega 3 and Tripsy from NHV everday with her raw food diet advised by the vet of NHV Mrs. Hillary Cook. She kindly helped me a lot in the beginning of the regimen. She is having her blood tests and ultrason, and she is very fine and she has no sign of cancer left. All the lymph nodes are at their normal sizes. *

Darlene - Reno , Nevada | September 28, 2015

One month ago (Aug 2015), I bought this (Hyperthyroidism Kit 1) for my 20+ year old male cat because he had all the symptoms of having a thyroid problem. He has always been an outdoor cat that is sociable on his own terms. His main diet for 17 years has been local prey (mice, voles, rabbits, quail, doves, etc.) and he’s always been healthy, active, fast and thin. He has his own private sanctuary in the garage and he’s always been smart enough to come inside at night or during cold weather. Two years or so ago we noticed him slowing down and actually becoming more social and a whole lot more vocal. By last year he was hunting less and relying more and more on the dry kibble and canned cat food we offered him. Being accustomed to live caught prey he is very picky when it comes to a canned cat food and the only one he would eat was a salmon pate. He kept getting thinner and thinner, moved slowly and was reluctant to sit down or lay down because of apparent pain and/or discomfort. We began contemplating calling the vet to come out and having him euthanized because we didn’t want him to be in pain. However, his eyes still seemed alert and we just couldn’t make the call. Near the end of August, I ordered the Hyperthyroidism Kit 1 and started him on the drops twice daily. First of all, I tasted the drops myself and found them pleasant tasting so I offered him the drops directly into his mouth. He was okay with one dose but not a second one so I started adding both supplements in his food. I would take about a tablespoon of the cat food, mix in the drops and give him that small amount first to make sure he’d get the full dosage. He’d eat that right away and then I’d give him the rest of the can. Let me stop right here and explain that during my online research into his symptoms and the eventual determination of hyperthyroidism I learned that cat food with seafood, especially salmon, contains high amounts of iodine and iodine is a leading cause of hyperthyroidism. YIKES! I’d been feeding him only salmon pate as well as a kibble that contained salmon. I immediately got rid of all the salmon cat food and changed him to chicken only pate. He’s still very picky but I have found one brand of chicken that he will eat. It has now been one month that he has been on the drops and I am astounded at how well he is doing. He’s moving much quicker now and actually runs up and down the ramps in the garage that lead to his favorite perches. He has gained some weight back but is still thinner than his normal younger thinness. He was devouring two full cans of food a day and is now content with half a can morning and night (1 can a day). His fur is looking a bit shinier and healthier but still not perfect. All in one month! He is also less vocal now and less loud. He also seems to be more alert and has fewer episodes where he just stops and stares at a wall or into space. I would also note that I have been giving him a full dropper dose of each supplement. The recommended dosage is for 1 drop for each 1 pound of body weight and this guy barely weighs in at a pound. I am totally amazed at how well these two supplements have improved our cat’s health and well being. He sits down easier now and gets up faster. Instead of sleeping most of the day, he is back to following us around the property and hanging out with the dog again. He’s almost back to his original annoying and obstinate self. *
