Ear infections in dogs are extremely common. Dogs are predisposed to ear infection due to the anatomy of their ears, which has a vertical and a horizontal component. This means that debris must work it’s way upward rather than straight out. The severity and speed of recovery of canine ear infections can be aided through gentle routine cleaning and the use of NHV Echo Gold. NHV Echo Gold is vet-formulated to contain herbs with healing and calming properties.

Can Echo Gold be used if my dog doesn't have an ear infection?
Echo Gold can be used safely as a maintenance to keep your dog's ears clean. It's important not to clean the ears too frequently if they do not require it.
Can I use this on Q-tips?
Cotton swabs, or 'Q-tips' should be used conservatively in dogs. Dogs ears have many crevices that can hold on to debris, and using a cotton swab on the outer, visible surfaces generally is not harmful. Avoid using a cotton swab too deep into the ear, as this can push debris in further. This type of cleaning should be left for your vet.
My dog has a ruptured eardrum, is this safe?
Echo Gold should never be used for a dog with a ruptured eardrum. There are very few medications that are safe to use with a ruptured eardrum. Always consult your vet if you suspect your pet may have an ear drum rupture.
Will this help with ear mites?
Yes, echo gold is useful for ear mites or ear infections that are caused by allergies, wax buildup, or water.
