Symptoms of heart disease in dogs include lethargy, weakness, coughing or in severe cases, fainting.
My dog is coughing due to heart disease, can this help?
Coughing due to heart disease often occurs when the heart is unable to move blood efficiently through the body. It’s the back-up of fluid in a pet's chest which leads to coughing. Using heart supplements for dogs or cats to help their heartbeat and pump more efficiently with Hearty-Heart can help to relieve the fluid build-up. If the congestion is severe, we also recommend adding Resp-Aid to the regimen.
I just got a King Charles Cavalier and I know they are prone to heart conditions? Can I use the Hearty-Heart as proactive care?
Yes, you can. We would also recommend taking him or her in to the vet for a regular checkup. We've known some cavalier's who are just a year old and have heart conditions. But in short, yes it will be a good idea to use the Hearty Heart for any breeds that are prone to dog heart conditions as early as possible.
