Description
Watching your sweet gnawer struggle with incessant scratching and hair loss can be heart-wrenching. Finding the right support for their skin issues becomes a priority. That's where natural herbal supplements like our All Clear Ointment for Hamsters come into play. Formulated by experienced veterinarians, this ointment is designed to help alleviate itchiness, ease inflammation and promote healing in hamsters with skin conditions.
How NHV Remedy Helps Support Common Skin Conditions in Hamsters
Hamsters are susceptible to certain skin disorders, including hamster ringworm, skin abscesses, fur mites, and hair loss. Our All Clear Ointment contains Echinacea Angustifolia, Marigold, and Goldenseal. They all work together to address these conditions and their symptoms.
Addressing Skin Abscesses
This skin disorder is a painful lump filled with pus. It is usually caused by bacterial infections of pre-existing open wounds on your little one. The blend of antimicrobial and immune-supporting herbs addresses the bacteria and helps your pet’s body fight them off. Only use on wounds that are closed. Do NOT use on open sores.
On top of that, the anti-inflammatory quality of Echinacea Angustifolia can help alleviate the discomfort caused by these painful cysts. Goldenseal also serves as a natural anti-inflammatory and helps to soothe the skin.
Fighting Fur Mites
Two types of mites are commonly found in hamsters - Demodex criceti and Demodex aurati. These irritating insects can cause intense itching in hamsters.
Some signs of skin mites include swollen, flaky, dry skin and hair loss on the back. The three herbs’ soothing properties help fight mites by helping to ease inflammation, relieve itchiness, and promote the healing of the affected skin. Goldenseal even has antiparasitic properties that can help gently remove the mites.
Helping with Hair Loss
Many factors can go into your hamster’s bald patches and hair loss, including T-cell lymphoma involving the skin. Goldenseal's healing properties can help promote the regeneration of healthy skin cells and aid in reducing hair loss caused by these skin conditions.
Natural Remedies for Ringworm
Ringworm is a fungal skin infection that may cause your hamster to develop red and crusty bald patches and skin irritation.
With its anti-fungal, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties, All Clear Ointment can be highly beneficial in combatting ringworm in hamsters.
