Tibetan Terrier

Tibetan Terriers are smart, pleasant, and affectionate dogs that typically weigh between 20-24 pounds. Gentle but fun loving, he's dedicated to his family but may be cautious or reserved toward strangers. The Tibetan Terrier has a double coat which is typically slightly wavy or straight, long outer coat and a wooly soft undercoat, which offers them protection from the difficult Tibetan climate. This Terrier’s gentle, easygoing nature is happy to curl up indoors or go for an adventure in the great outdoors.

Common Health Conditions

  • All kinds of worms and bugs can invade your Tibetan Terrier’s body- for example, parasites such as fleas, ticks, mites, and worms can irritate the skin and ears.
  • Most dogs love to run and play outside. Many would fetch the ball for you for hours on end if given the chance. Often, they’re having so much fun, they don’t realize they could be damaging their paws.
  • Tibetan Terriers are susceptible to bacterial and viral infections — the same ones that all dogs can get — such as parvo, rabies, and distemper.
