It is especially beneficial for pets on strong medications because silymarin (the active compound in Milk thistle) helps to protect the liver and may help improve liver function.

To be taken twice daily. All NHV supplements are designed to be used together, and can, therefore, be given at once for convenience.

For small animals (rabbits, ferrets), avians and reptiles use 1 drop for every 2 lb of body weight.
How to Administer
Shake well before use. The easiest method is to use the dropper provided and place the drops into your pet’s food or favorite treat. You can also use the dropper and squirt directly into the pet’s mouth. Some pets can be finicky, if this occurs consider hiding the drops in foods most pet’s love such as fish, chicken or yogurt or a favorite treat. If your pet only eats dry food then soak a few kibbles at feeding time.

Herbal dietary supplements are beneficial to the health and well-being of your pet and are safe for long-term use. Every pet responds to natural herbal supplements differently, therefore it is important to be consistent and administer the product daily. Supplements generally take two to four weeks to take effect, however this will vary from one animal to the next.

FAQ
What is a good dog food for sensitive stomachs?
If your dog has a sensitive stomach, we recommend trying out a home-cooked diet. In order for your pet to get the proper nutritional requirements, any home-cooked diet must be balanced and formulated by a veterinarian. Our in-house veterinarian Dr. Amanda can create a personalized diet plan that takes into consideration your dog’s breed, age, and medical history. Any changes in diet should be done slowly and under your local veterinarian’s guidance.
Can gastrointestinal diseases in cats cause gagging?
Kitties with GI tract issues may have bouts of vomiting and/or diarrhea. The vomit may contain foamy, yellowish bile. Sometimes cats may also ‘dry heave' or gag after eating or drinking. This is at times due to consuming food and/or water too quickly, and is referred to as regurgitating (not vomiting).
Can dogs digest rawhide
In general, dogs have a tough time digesting rawhide treats. There is a high choking and blockage risk. Pieces of rawhide may get stuck in the esophagus or other parts of the gastrointestinal tract, causing an obstruction and/or tear in the GI tract. In severe cases, surgery is required to remove the blockage from and/or address the tear in the stomach or intestines. If left untreated, this kind of obstruction may lead to death.
How long does it take cats to digest food?
Typically, cats digest food in 10-24 hours, but some things may take months because your little one may not be able to properly break down certain nutrients. . In this case, it may cause an obstruction (acute/chronic constipation); if this is the case, then it is essential that you reach out to your vet immediately.
Can supplements be given with medication?
Yes, our supplements are safe to be given in conjunction with any vet-prescribed medication. We do, however, recommend spacing the NHV supplements (which can be given together) apart from any medications, by a minimum of 30 minutes to 2 hours.
