Description
Accidents can happen in a split second, and curious pets are often right in the middle of the action. Pet burns come from different causes: sunburns on exposed skin, hot pavement during summer walks, or even spending too long on heating pads.
How to Use the NHV Burns Heal Kit
The NHV Burns Heal Kit comes with two different topical formulas. NHV All Clear Ointment is designed to calm redness and provide fast relief for inflamed or irritated skin. It may help with itching, so they don’t scratch or bite at healing areas. Beyond just soothing, it contains herbs that may support pets dealing with bacterial and fungal infections. With olive oil and beeswax, it’s also an emollient, helping skin stay hydrated during the healing process. Ouch Away Spray may help by promoting healthy fur regrowth over healed burn sites with ingredients like tea tree and rosemary. It may also help calm and cool the area thanks to ingredients like aloe vera and chamomile. Please Note: The NHV Burns Healing Kit is for recovery support and should not be applied to open or fresh wounds. Always seek vet care for pet burns. While our formulas are always non-toxic and vet-approved, do not let pets consume them after applying. Otherwise, they’re licking the benefits away!
What to Do If Your Pet Has a Burn
When it comes to pet burns, the most important thing to remember is that they are a medical emergency. Even if a burn looks minor on the surface, it can often be much deeper and more painful than it appears. Always contact your veterinarian immediately for professional treatment and stabilization. Once the initial emergency has passed and the skin is no longer an open wound, you can begin focusing on recovery. This is where the NHV Burns Healing Kit comes in. It provides gentle after-burn support to soothe lingering irritation and encourage fur regrowth.

FAQ
How long do paw burns take to heal?
The healing time for paw burns depends on the severity. It can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks for more serious pet burns. Because paw pads are under constant pressure and prone to infection, they often require a longer recovery period than other areas of the body. All burns should be evaluated by a vet.
What is the 7 second rule for dogs?
The 7-second rule is a safety test where you press the back of your hand to the pavement for seven seconds. If it is too hot for you to hold it there, the surface will burn your dog's paws and is unsafe for a walk.
Can you use the NHV Burns Healing Kit on the nose?
We do not recommend using topical products on the nose due to the mucosal tissues nearby. Consult a vet for burns on the nose or near other openings.
Do you offer free shipping?
