Bilberry — Is a relative of the blueberry. Studies have shown that the anthocyanins in bilberry help various eye issues like glaucoma, cataracts, conjunctivitis, and overall issues that affect the eye. It is known to improve the circulation of the small blood vessels responsible for providing nutrient-rich blood to the cells and oxygenating the blood.
Eyebright — Has been used since antiquity to promote eye health and help to relieve itchy eyes, inflammation of the eyelids (blepharitis) and small blood vessels (conjunctivitis) and may prevent mucus buildup.
Gingko — Is one of the oldest surviving tree species on earth (Gingko Biloba), and has a long history rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It is known to improve oxygen levels around the eye and in the body and improve conditions like glaucoma, retinal disorders, and vision loss (in pets with diabetes).

Some pets may require a larger dosage due to their metabolism. You can safely double the recommended dosage.
How to Administer
Shake well before use. Use the dropper provided to squirt the dosage directly into your pet’s mouth along the gums and teeth. Some pets may be finicky and resist your attempts to administer drops directly into their mouth. If this occurs, try placing the drops in your pet’s food or favorite treat. You may want to consider hiding the drops in foods most pet’s love such as fish, chicken, or yogurt. When serving dry food, use the dropper to soak a few kibbles at feeding time.

FAQ
Can dogs get pink eye?
Yes. Just like humans, dogs are susceptible to eye infections such as pink eye (conjunctivitis).
Why do dogs get “dog eye boogers”
Dog eye boogers or excess mucus forms as a response to irritation in the eye. Your dog’s eyes have natural lubrication to keep them healthy but when there are crusty bits that range from clear to yellow/green, there could be debris or an infection present.
Does NHV have eye drops for dogs?
Yes. NHV has an all-natural eye drop called Ey-Eas. It can help ease red, swollen, or infected eyes and help reduce excess mucus production. These drops should not be used on eyes that are scratched or have ulceration.
How do I know if something is wrong with my dog’s eye?
In a well-lit area, look at your dog’s eyes. Their eyes should appear clear with equal-sized pupils. The area around the eyeball should be white. The next step may be a bit challenging but is just as important. Using your thumb (with freshly washed hands), gently roll down your pet's lower eyelid to have a look at it. If it is pink, then things are good. If it is red or white, you may want to book an appointment with your vet to have a closer look. A fun fact about cats and dogs, is that they have a third eyelid. This can range from whitish to pinkish and it protects their eyes from scratches. Some dog breeds are more prone to cherry eye (which is their third eyelid falling out of place). It is not a life-threatening condition and can be corrected with surgery.
