Mellit is a herbal formulation that helps control blood sugar levels and strengthens and protects other organs from serious imbalances that may be triggered throughout the body. It is used in the support of diabetes in dogs, a common pancreatic disorder that occurs when sugars build up in the bloodstream rather than entering the tissue to provide energy. Left untreated, diabetes can make your pet more prone to infections, slow the healing process, cause blindness, or lead to heart, liver, or kidney disease.

To be taken twice daily. Determine your pet’s weight and then use the easy chart below to determine the correct dose. This is the minimum dosage.

Pet's Weight Dosage

0 - 15 lb = 0.5 ml

16 - 30 lb = 1.0 ml

31 - 45 lb = 1.5 ml

46 - 60 lb = 2.0 ml

61 - 75 lb = 2.5 ml

Over 75 lb = 3.0 ml

For small animals (rabbits, ferrets), avians and reptiles use 1 drop for every 2 lb of body weight.

How to Administer
Shake well before use. The easiest method is to use the dropper provide and places the drops into your pet’s food or favorite treat. You can also use the dropper and squirt directly into the pet’s mouth.

Some pets can be finicky, if this occurs consider hiding the drops in foods most pet’s love such as fish, chicken or yogurt or a favourite treat. If your pet only eats dry food then soak a few kibbles at feeding time.

This is a review of how Mellit has truly helped our dog Bo...and might have even saved us some vet visits! We live in a forested area, where hunting is allowed at certain times. Well, we let our dog run through the forest (I stick to the path!), and once in a great while, Bo will find some leftover deer meat, that the hunters have left behind. He had eaten some deer meat a couple times prior to today, and his stomach was really distressed. I didn't know what to do so I took a chance and gave him several doses of the Mellit, in the first hour or two. I know that is more than is recommended, but I was desperate to help Bo feel better! And it worked like a charm! He never got sick (vomited), which was amazing to me. forward to this morning...Bo was gone for twenty minutes on our walk, and when he finally showed up, I could smell deer meat on his breath. So I knew that he must have eaten a lot of meat, given how long he had been gone. So, we get home and within a half hour, he is wanting to go outside. We went outside and he just laid down, like he was feeling really lousy. He wouldn't budge. I felt his stomach and it was distended. I finally got him inside, and gave him some Mellit. Then, over the course of 2-3 hours, I gave him three more doses of Mellit. After a couple hours, he wanted to go outside again...but this time he rolled in the snow!...looking like his old self! Miraculous! This was our biggest test...and Mellit passed with flying colors! I am going to order some more right away...I never want to be without it! I thank you and Bo thanks you, NHV! Jan. *

“Our dog, Piri, is a 17 year old cocker spaniel. He has been doing fairly well and has been healthy throughout most of his life, but during a senior comprehensive check in the fall of 2014 we found out that he had kidney disease. It was a scary time for us as we didn’t know much about the disease but as time went on we learned how to manage it. Our daily motto was, “We got this, Piri!,” and Piri was doing awesome. Then towards the end of 2015 we noticed a lump inside Piri’s mouth and after going through many consultations and tests with an animal oral surgeon, cardiologist and our primary vet to see if Piri was a candidate to go under surgery, we got the green light. In March 2016, Piri had his oral mass removed. However, we were devastated once more when we learned that biopsy results indicated that the mass was cancerous – it was oral melanoma, a highly aggressive form of cancer that will metastasize, most likely to his lymph nodes and lungs. Hoping to combat his cancer and extend his life, we went to see an oncologist and started Piri on chemotherapy and he also received the melanoma vaccine. In the beginning he did well, but throughout his treatment we saw that he was getting weaker, was more susceptible to infections and ended up having high liver enzyme levels by the third month of treatment. With levels that indicated that Piri might have developed pancreatitis, he was no longer a candidate to receive chemotherapy. We were instead directed to focus on giving him a low fat diet to bring his liver enzyme levels down (while also ensuring that it met his cancer and kidney needs), in hopes that they would normalize. The goal was to not only bring his levels down, but to start back on his chemo treatments. We were at a crossroads. A couple of weeks after being off of chemo, Piri was beginning to come back to his normal self – weakened but better. He was no longer having diarrhea and didn’t need to take a number of supportive medicine to help with diarrhea, nausea and decreased appetite, all side effects of chemo. We just could not bear to put him through the treatment again. While we wanted to combat his cancer and extend his life, we didn’t want to compromise his quality of life. It was at this time, in June, when we were in touch with NHV products and were introduced to four of their supplements — Es Clear for cancer support, Milk Thistle for liver and kidney detox, Tripsy for kidney support and Mellit for his pancreatitis. But it would be a few more months later, in September, when we would begin to administer them, which would be a week after Piri underwent his second oral mass removal surgery with biopsy results that indicated his oral melanoma was back. Then it would be another week when we would feel a new lump in his throat. A fine needle aspirate indicated that it was also cancerous. We have since forgone traditional treatment options for Piri and rely on NHV supplements and a couple more we received from a holistic vet we began to see. I haven’t missed a single dose for Piri, even while going on trips together, and since he is a finicky eater we give his twice daily dosages mixed with a little bit of water. Piri only drinks now with the help of a dropper and so it makes administering his herbal supplements easy, just like drinking water. Two weeks after being on his supplements we performed some blood work and noticed that his liver levels have dropped back to normal. His kidney levels have also improved slightly. Because Piri has been doing so well on his NHV supplements, we also decided to switch him over to NHV’s turmeric (he was taking a powder form before). He is still climbing up and down the stairs by himself and has an energetic bounce when he is in a happy mood. It is a good feeling to know that instead of worrying about the averse effects medicine will have on Piri while it is trying to do good, we’re encouraged by the natural supplements that are doing nothing but positive things inside Piri’s body. And for the people who are going through similar health issues with their pets, NHV provides much needed support, help and encouragement, which is so much appreciated during a difficult time. We are thankful to have crossed paths with NHV and our only regret is not having known them earlier. *

Neo keeps on keeping on! More than 6 years ago, Neo was diagnosed with diabetes, and is now 13 & 1/2. Soon after we found out our beloved pet had diabetes, I started researching supplements and literature about how best to manage diabetic pets. A group for diabetic pets mentioned the NHV site as a reputable site. Neo, we feel, has had more level blood sugars due to the NHV Mellit drops we started using soon after his diagnosis. We will continue providing Neo his supplements to help him have quality of life and to "keep on keeping on! *

I just wanted to give my two cents on the Mellit. My dog Bo, doesn't have diabetes, but he has a very sensitive stomach. I had given Mellit to our previous dog, Bob, for his pancreatic issues. It helped greatly. So, I have been giving Bo the Mellit, after he has had some kind of people food tidbit. I even think he knows that it helps him to feel better, because soon after being given a "rich" snack (not from me!), he will come find me in the house, and just stare at me. I ask him if he wants some "juice", and he immediately heads for the kitchen, so I can give him some Mellit. He loves it! Well, I just wanted to give my that it helps in situations other than just for diabetes...which is least for us, it is! Take care, all!! 😆 *

Neo is 13 years old and was diagnosed as Diabetic in June 2010, making him almost 6 years diabetic now. Neo is on NPH Insulin twice daily, at 12 hour intervals. I feel the diabetes began due to the stress of being boarded at the Vet's office for a few days, his 1st and only time ever. I researched NHV's products for diabetic support, after people on a diabetic internet site mentioned their use of the same for their pets. Neo has been on NHV's Milk Thistle and Mellit supplements as well as Multi Essentials Vitamin (all support for his diabetes), for almost the entire time now and is doing well! I have also put my non-diabetic rescue dog of 13 yrs, Tobey, on the vitamin supplements and he is as energetic as ever. As with people, I feel our furbabies too need extra TLC when dealing with disease attacks on their system by way of healthy diets and health helping supplements. I continue to use the NHV products for Neo's diabetes and hope he has many happy, quality of life years ahead! Thanks to NHV for recognizing animals benefit from healthy supplements too! *

Our dog is making a miraculous comeback. We took her in for blood work last week, just 1 week after we started her on Tripsy, Resp-Aid, Yucca, and Mellit. To our surprise all of her blood levels dropped 50%. The vet was stunned as he was preparing us for the worst. She's more energetic now and improving everyday. We are scheduled for more blood work next week to make sure things are moving in the right direction. We can't thank you enough for your support and guidance and rushing the order to us over night. We are so lucky we found you. *

Mellit is most definitely what a pet owner should give their diabetic dog. My 9 year old terrier was diagnosed with diabetes 2 months ago. I started administering mellitus in his food 2 times daily and 3 weeks later his blood glucose dropped 200 points.the vet said continue what I am doing for it is working. This product is easy to administer and worth the purchase. I will continue to order mellit for it was the miracle I was looking for. Thank you *

It took months of trying to regulate our dog's diabetes and she didn't want to eat the prescription dog food, it was very frustrating. My husband discovered the Mellit for Diabetes. We fed her the food she always ate but cut down the amount and added unsalted canned green beans to make up the difference, then we started using the Mellit.......guess what, her sugar levels stabilized and she has stayed that way for over a year now. I gotta believe the mellit makes a difference! *

My baby was diagnosed with severe diabetes about 2 months ago. I believe the cause was a duck and potato diet. My sisters dog just recently started on that too, and now he is showing signs of hyperglycemia ie; drinking lots of water, uncontrollable bladder, etc. I had a lot of anger over the fact that I gave my sugarpie a diet that made him so sick. I wanted to trust again, because I believe there are people out there that do care more about a pet's wellbeing, than profit. I bought the Mellit after he was diagnosed but was afraid to use it. He went on humulin NPH and after several blood glucose curves and consistent high numbers, raising the insulin dose, etc, I gave Mellit a try. Had I known I would receive these kinds of results, I would have done it sooner. My advice to you is to try this product, it makes the insulin kick in, and who knows maybe my baby wont need insulin forever. Am I happy and pleased over this product? You better friggen believe it! *

My little Lucy a 5 year old Pincher was overweight and had Pancreatitis twice and became Diabetic, She spent over a week in the VCA hospital, then we brought her home. She had trouble getting around because her little back legs no longer worked, and she couldn't bark. she was continually coughing, snoring, sometimes regurgitating her food and water. Within 3 months she came down with Megaesophagus and Pneumonia, nasal infection, swollen lymphs, lost over 10 pounds down to 16 from 27. I was sure she wasn't going to make it and once again admitted her to the hospital they treated her with drugs and even placed her on oxygen. With all that was going on, I thought she would not make it and we were heart broken, They did a CT scan and had to place a feeding tube directly into her stomach so we can feed her otherwise pnuemonia will be inevitable again, I then found out about Mellit and got a bottle and after about 1 week she is running fast and zips up the stairs and jumps up and down on furniture and is looking better and barks, no longer coughs or snores. If this keeps up I figure in about one month we will have a bionic dog. I cannot believe what this product can do, but seeing is believing and she is living proof. All I can say is buy it and check it out for yourself. What can you lose. *
