Description

Rabbits are so cute, and rabbit parents know they have just as much personality as cats or dogs. To be proactive for their health, you can use Turmeric with these twitchy-nosed fur-babies for general and proactive health, as well as for a number of conditions and diseases.

Benefits of Using Turmeric for Rabbits

Of all our rabbit supplements, our natural turmeric formula has some of the best anti-inflammatory properties. It can help with a number of health concerns that rabbits are prone to, including cancers, arthritis, and inflammation-related diseases.

  • Joint Support: Can be used for aging bunnies who can’t hop quite like they used to
  • Cancer Support: Turmeric can be given to rabbits coping with cancer, like sarcoma or lymphoma
  • Discomfort Support: For rabbits with aches and irritations, turmeric may help their body reduce discomfort, especially if it is related to inflammation
  • Proactive Care: You can use Turmeric on your pet rabbit daily to top them up with natural goodness and keep certain conditions at bay

We especially love turmeric as a proactive measure because rabbit care is all about setting up your big-eared family member up for whatever challenges they may face.

Turmeric’s Healing Properties

Turmeric is one of the most well-known natural remedies, and holistic vets have used it for quite a while. To understand why turmeric can be used as a rabbit supplement, we can dive into just how this orange spice called turmeric can help.

  • Helps rabbits with arthritic conditions due to its anti-inflammatory properties and COX2 inhibitors
  • Supports autoimmune disorders by potentially improving the signaling pathways of immune cells
  • Benefits rabbits with cancer due to its antioxidant content
  • Supports liver disorders through detoxification
  • Supports heart conditions through improved circulation
  • Helps lower bad cholesterol (LDL)
  • Reduces the risk of blood clotting

Rabbits that are sick may have increased oxidation, and antioxidants from natural sources like those found in turmeric can help give them a boost when they need it. Thanks to its anti-inflammatory possibilities, it may even help them feel better, too.

FAQ

What supplements do rabbits need?

There is no one correct answer for which supplements your rabbit needs, as each rabbit has different health needs depending on their age, health status, genetic predispositions, and more. However, like all animals, each rabbit has inflammation in its body. In the case that they have excess inflammation, anti-inflammatories from diet and supplements may help. It may also be useful in conditions like cancer, arthritis, and other inflammation-related diseases.

Why can’t I give my bunny turmeric from the kitchen?

Dosage matters, even when it comes to natural supplements. You should not guess the amount of turmeric your pet needs or use turmeric from the grocery store, which has not been processed for animals. We have a dosing guide that can ensure your bunny rabbit is not getting too much or too little.

How can I give supplements to my rabbit?

Because bunnies have sensitive stomachs, it is good to start with a lower dosage and work your way up. For rabbits of any size or breed, we recommend starting slowly with 1-2 drops per pound and working your way up to the recommended dosage of 0.5ml twice daily.
